Career

In 1997, he opened his own photography studio and that’s where  all begins in an even more serious and determined way.

In 2002, receives the trophy newcomer prize, awarded by the Professional Photographers Association in the VI photography workshop  in Figueira da Foz City
He has proceded  the innovation, progress and the seizure of new technical knowledge,  participating in several conferences and workshops in the country and abroad.

In 2003, he  has received the professional merit award  in Exponoivos, a distinction of the Professional Photographers Association.
In 2005, he got the Diploma for training course for trainers.
In 2006 he has graduated from Judge qualifier Professional Photographers Association of Portugal and has attended the  judges course qualifiers in Spain.
In 2007, he has own  4 awards in photographic qualifications  works, made in Portugal.
In 2008 he was Speaker of the XII Photography Workshop  and Video from AFP.

In November 2008, receiving two award merits in photographic works submitted for qualification.
With the same motivation as always he comes in higher education, the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT) in Photography course, in order to follow new paths. Despite all the accolades and awards already won over its “know-how”, by virtue of a long walk in the “field”, Miguel Rolo understood that there was more to learn, when to learn, so decided to go into higher education for fill a gap in the theoretical and practical stuff.
Miguel Rolo has created its own image, its very peculiar style. He has no secrets, only a strong sensitivity to capture light and work perspectives.

2009 – With a unique style and avant-garde, he didnt  go unnoticed in Portuguese press. JN Newspaper, TVI channel and Antena1 Radio were some of Media that has asked for Miguel Rolo interviews.
2009 – It was one of the judges convened by the College of Judges of AFPPortugal for evaluating photographic works integrated into the national qualifications system.

At the invitation of some architects he began to develop some works in ​​architecture area and intends to establish itself as a national reference in this area too.

2010 – Start the year in the best way with a further distinction of Gold Photographer Specialist Announced at Gala 2010 of the Association of Professional Photographers of Portugal.
